Consulting

The use of drones within the fire service and other agencies has rapidly increased given their life-saving assistance capabilities, and yet many US departments find themselves without the proper information, knowledge, and experience needed to establish, administer, operate, and maintain a cohesive public safety drone program. I can meet with your public agency and provide the sound reasoning for a drone program. I have the research and statistics to prove the value of a well implemented small unmanned aerial system be it prt 107 or COA

Training

Training above and beyond FAR Part 107 is needed. For example, Part 107 does not have a practical exam. Think of a simple driver’s license for example. That process involves a practical exam but if we remove the “driver’s test” the standard license doesn’t equip you with the skills to drive a big rig or fire engine. Sure you can get it moving and may accomplish rudimentary manuevers but it takes more training to be proficient. In the fire service using drones that is known as NFPA 2400. In the private secotor there are stricter standards as well.

Public Agencies

The use of drones within the fire service has rapidly increased given their life-saving assistance capabilities, and yet many US departments find themselves without the proper information, knowledge, and experience needed to establish, administer, operate, and maintain a cohesive public safety drone program. One of the biggest considerations is whether to operate under a Certificate of Authorization or Commercial Pilot F.A.R. Part 107. It is not cut and dried and I can meet with you and show your best options. Once the decision is made, I can also work with you to develop procedures, regualtions and institute training program. After all getting the commercial license is the beginning, then there are standards. A fire department for example should follow the guidance of NFPA 2400

Private Sector

With contracting services, inspection services and even agricultural and foresty applications the use of drones is getting very complex. Programs like Pix4d and Drone Deploy are complex and involve either cloud computing or a fast computer to accomplish the mission. However, there are alternatives. This is highly dependant on the information you are trying to convey. NERF tech is slated to quickly replace these mediums and is significantly faster. Does your project really need terrain mapping or will highlighting suffice. How about 3d models and what level of accuracy is needed. I can help you through the confusing yet critical implemenation of these technologies.
